Most of you don't know this but the Boyers and the IRS have had a very huge difference of opinion as to how much the Boyers owed the IRS from 2004. The IRS said, "You us $100,000.00 US (50,9347.2 GPB, 124,000 AUD, 75,000 EUR, 610,000 NOK, 121,690 CHF)."
"No, we don't," said the Boyers.
"Yes, you do," retorted the IRS.
"No, we really don't," protested the Boyers.
(This goes on for two YEARS)
The Boyers had been trying to show the IRS that they didn't owe them that much, but the IRS kept sending their documents back saying that it was insufficient. So the Boyers finally shelled out some perfectly good money to have the documents professionally prepared.
"Here is our proof! It is gorgeous and perfectly prepared. We'd like to see you try and tell us that we still owe you $100,000 USD!"
"Here is a bill for $100,000 USD." (This was just this last Saturday).
So, the intrepid Naomi called up the IRS today and said, "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH YOU IDIOTS! WE'VE SENT THE PROOF, YET YOU KEEP HOUNDING US! I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR BUTTS!"
The IRS replied, "Oh. Our bad. Seems that you're right. We're still processing your claim, but right now it looks as though we owe YOU some money."
"! ! !" said the Boyers.
Needless to say, the Boyers are extrememly satisfied with themselves that they bested the IRS for trying to charge them $100,000.
