Brownie

We bought a puppy today.

A puppy?! you say. Why, yes. I, Naomi, now have a dog in the house. Jarum has been wanting one forever and I've been rather resistant. However, he pulled the "you've been wanting to plant a garden since we moved in and we have a rabbit problem" line on me, so that made me cave in. She is such a sweetie. She's all settled into her den and she has even been out and about around the living room, trying to get her bearings. Misty (our cat) isn't quite sure what to make of this new smelly creature living in the house. She's keeping her distance for the time being, but hasn't run away in fear, or conversly, tried to take a swipe at the puppy. The kids are totally in love with her already, though. And Jarum! If ever there was a softie towards dogs, he's the one! It's adorable watching him hold her.

Anyway, a lot of you have been asking for pics, so *throws pics at you*

What Word Are You?

Your Word is "Hope"

You see life as an opportunity for learning, growth, and bringing out the best in others.

No matter how bad things get, you always have at least a glimmer of optimism.

You are accepting and forgiving. You encourage those who have wronged you to turn over a new leaf.

And while there is a lot of ugliness in the world, you believe that almost no one is beyond redemption.

Grammy and Gramps Visit

Grammy and Gramps came to visit us at our house right after Christmas. While they were here for only a few short days, we had a blast! It was fun watching the children play with their Grandparents. And I'm not going to lie, it was fun for me as well!

Gramps has always been a big fan of trains, so he and Matthew were right at home with each other.

On their last day we went up to Savannah. We had lunch in Forsythe Park, right across from this fountain. It was a beautiful day.
Grammy and Gramps had so much fun with Josh going down the slide. It was fun for me to watch as well!

I am so glad that they were able to come and visit. I wish it could have been longer, but I'll take what I can get!

Christmas 2008

We here at the Boyer house are just pleased as punch that we were able to spend Christmas together this year instead of having Jarum in Iraq. We were also happy (no offense to our family, we love you!) to stay home this year. It has been a while. The day was wonderful with much happiness, laughter and fun to be had. All of the gifts we received were wonderful and much appreciated. Santa also did quite a good job, according to the kids. The laughter mainly came from watching each other try to do the hula hoop game on the Wii fit. We have videos. We'll probably either delete them or hold them for when blackmail might be needed.

And yes, that is our new TV, otherwise known as "The Beast." Just wait until you see it, Mom. You'll do a double-take, I'm sure. :p

Merry Christmas!
