Pictures! We've Got Pictures! We've Got Lots and Lots of Pictures!

Yes, my dear friends and family, it is now time for those long awaited pictures. If you don't feel like looking at a mess of picspam, then this is not the post for you. Move along. :)

I suppose I'll just get right into it and treat it as a slideshow? Does that work for everyone? Okie-dokie.

Here we are in Pleasent Grove/American Fork (I can't remember which) enjoying some time at the park. This is the first time that Josh had ever been in a swing at the park and he just loved it!
I took the kiddles to a day out with Thomas the Tank engine. Needless to say there was excitement all around and we had a really good time. This is after the train ride, after face paining, and during some horrific wind.
The three older kids (Jacob, Kaylee, and Matt) with Sir Topham Hat. I didn't even try getting Josh into the shot, figuring he'd just be too dang scared. Probably a good call on my part.
This is on the way to Ephraim after the Thomas fun. My sister Megan took this pic while I was driving. Good times.
This was at Thomas, I think. I can't remember. I just know that Matt was showing off his tattoo and Josh was hamming it up for the camera.
Matt and one of his many cute and expressive faces at my Aunt Melanie's house.
Josh eating some cereal at Aunt Melanie's. Everyone had a great time here. It was good fun.
Joshua the Ham smiling before getting his very first haircut, just a week before Jarum's return from Iraq.
My gosh! Look at that! I could put it up in ponies!
Getting ready. He has no idea. LOL
This is me just keeping him still while my mom did the back of his head. Actually, he handled it really well. We've done another cut since and he just loves them. Doesn't even fuss.
The handsome, all clipped boy. He loves the camera. Can you tell?
Kaylee's "before" pic. Here hair went all of the way down to her bum. She literally had to pull it over her shoulder while, ahem, going potty.
And now at her shoulder blades. It looks so great at this length. Much easier to deal with and just dang cute!
Preggo Rachel playing Guitar Hero III. This pic makes me giggle every time I see it. :p
Rachel with her hot new do. She didn't have a camera when she got it cut so I took one with mine. Here you go, Rach.
Josh at the BYU Museum of Art. They were having a family fun day. So I took the family. The end.
After the MOA family fun day. Look at that background. OH MY GOSH I miss Utah!
Josh overlooking the falls at the gardens at Thanksgiving Point. If I could live there, I would. And I miss the cafe. Mmmmmmmmm sweet potato fries. Mmmmmmmmmm.
Josh and Matt at a different falls overlook. It is the largest manmade waterfall in the country? Is that right? Someone check my facts.
Grammy and Josh in the gardens. Awwwww!
At the airport waiting for Jarum to get off of the plane. We were slightly excited. It was also fun watching everyone else watch the kids. Lots of smiles and a few tears of joy on the kids' behalf. Very sweet.
DADDY! (see the couple to the left? Lots of that.)
I think Matt was happy. Actually, Matt wouldn't let Jarum out of his sight for a few days. I even had to remind Matt two days ago that he no longer had to pray for Daddy's safety in Iraq. :)
At the airport. Josh was very happy to see Daddy as well. No "who the heck are you?" moments. He pretty much just dove into Jarum's arms.
Back at my mom's house. The kids stuck to him like glue. It was very sweet. And also refreshing. It was one of the few days where they weren't attached to my hip.
Josh and Clara. Holy cow, were these two partners in crime!
Picnicking up in American Fork Canyon. It was so gorgeous. I just couldn't get over it.
A close-up of the little boys. Josh's expression just kills me.
Jacob's eighth bday. He got Mario Kart for the wii. Happiness was had by all.
Awwww, loves!
Rachel gave me the idea of making this gator cake. Thanks, Rach. It was a huge hit.
Opening presents at his water party. Good times.
Random pic of clean children.
This is the view out of my front door in our new house in Georgia. We love this house. But I'm going to paint the inside. It's grey. I feel as though I'm living in an elephant. Other than that, though...
Close-up of the trees. There are little white flowers in them. It's a very pretty thing. (And I will have more pics of the house, once things are unpacked and pictures are put up, etc.)
Living room. We have so much more space that the kids often don't know what to do with themselves.
Splash park on post. We go every Tuesday. This is the first year that Matt has actually gotten in the water. Now we can't get him out!
Josh has taken Matt's place as the there's-no-way-you're-getting-me-in-that kid.

Well, there you go. See, Kimmy? Baby is not married yet. He's still a baby. Tara, there you go. Rachel, I do actually blog when I'm not living at Mom's. Mom, enjoy the pics of your sweet grandbabies.

Mmmm Waffles

I love breakfast. It is by far my favorite meal. And of all of the breakfast fare out there, waffles are my all time favorite. Sometimes I just get a hankering and make some. No particular reason. And these are not the pull out of the freezer and pop in a toaster kind of waffles. Oh, no. These are the make from scratch and then pour gently into the waffle iron kind of waffle. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

A special day is coming up *wink* and Jarum offered to make breakfast. I've been trying to decide what I wanted. I thought, waffles of course! However, he doesn't make them the right way. So, I decided not to wait and I made them for myself this morning. He can me me eggs. :D

Gosh, I love waffles!

Still "Borrowing" Internet Hence the Shocking Lack of Pictures

I promise. They are coming. I am slightly embarrassed that my last pics are all of the way back from Easter. *sigh*

I'm thinking of attacking the kids' rooms today. They aren't really bad, and it is pretty much all toy related. I spent most of yesterday just trying to get my room cleared out and ended up going through and sorting through clothes at the same time. My room does look much better (I can actually see the floor!) and I'm down to just a few piles lining my walls. Anyway, I want the kids, well, mainly the boys, to have the same joy of bare floor-age as I do, so that's the project today.

Yeah. Um, the end.

Update: It is now lunchtime and I have completed the boys' room! WOOT! They are all unpacked, organized, and posters put up. I'm feeling slightly accomplished. I think I'll keep Kaylee's and Josh's room until tomorrow, seeing as I can't do it after lunch as Josh is in desperate need of a nap.

Background Noise

I am one of those people who has to have something going on in the background at times while I am working/puttering about/crafting/cleaning. And it has to be of a talky nature i.e. no music. I would much rather listen to talk radio or have a movie/movie commentary going on in the background. My movie of choice at the moment (because we live so far out in the stix that we don't even get AM radio!) is A&E's Pride and Prejudice. Needless to say, I think I've watched it three times in the last three weeks. I have just begun the first DVD again.

*sigh*

Oh well. What can I do? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this film, so I don't really mind. :p

Yes, I am in fact still alive!

You know, life is funny sometimes.

We have moved from Utah and our now in our own digs in Georgia. We love the new house. It's larger than anything we have ever lived in before. It's really the first house we've ever lived in where we didn't feel completely smooshed. Well, we've lived in other places like that, but now that the kids are getting bigger, it's nice to have a place with less potential for smooshiness.

That's not the funny part.

Anyway, we left Utah a week ago last Monday and drove across the county. We spent the first two nights in Denver because we wanted to get a feel for our possible future permanent residence. However, I became quite ill the day we spent in Denver. Body aches, sore throat, you know the drill. Anyway, I've been sick ever since, and we're now going on two weeks! I no longer have body aches, but my throat is just a beast and I have itchy eyes and a drippy nose. NOT COOL!

Still not the funny part.

We closed on the house on Friday (yes, we drove out here on faith that we would close on the house) and had everything moved over here from storage that afternoon. (THANK YOU, dear friends who fed us, watched the kids, and helped us move that day!) We got the mattresses on the floor and the crib set up and called it a good day.

It's coming.

The weekend was spent unpacking. Mainly the kitchen and washing ALL OF OUR CLOTHES. I swear we used up a months worth of water in that first weekend. We then went to Savannah to make a Sam's Club run to refill our food stores. We are now poor, but have food. It's very nice to have food. I like food. *gives food a small hug* I'm still sick during all of this, but I can't just seem to stop. I know it's allergy related (thank you so much cottonwood and now dogwood) but we still keep pressing on. By Tuesday we have the wii/tv/dvd/vcr all hooked up for the kids to watch, even though they have been spending most of their time becoming reacquainted with their toys. I also got most of the clothes out of my room so that we could at least have some walking space. My closet is now beautiful. Thank you.

Really.

Yesterday (Wednesday) I spent all of the day, and I mean all of the day, in the kitchen organizing, putting stuff in our make-shift pantry, washing stuff. My kitchen is now practically beautiful. Thank you.

Are you ready?

So, I wake up this morning with the now customary sore throat. I'm tired. I've been working hard. I tell myself, "Nomes, you have just got to take it easy today. Seriously. You're never going to get better if you keep this up." I totally agreed with myself and decided to take it easy. I've earned it, right? I've made a ton of progress on the house. So what do I do? I notice that the kitchen needs a sweep. Okay, that's not a lot of work. I can do that and then rest. Then I think, well, if I've swept the kitchen, I might as well mop. Next thing I know I've swept and mopped the bathrooms as well and I am now dying to sweep and mop the rest of the house! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! Isn't that funny? Not more of a funny ha-ha but more of a funny that's just interesting.

So, yeah. There you go.

More updates to follow, as soon as we get "real" internet. We are now on the "catching a stray wi-fi signal" plan. And once we have real internet, I will post pics. Really. I promise.... don't look at me like that Kimmy/Tara/Rachel! Really!
